Why do we apply the International Building Codes

INTERNATIONAL BUILDING CODE (IBC)

All our drawings and structural calculations are in principle  be prepared in accordance with the IBC 2018 (International Building Code), issued by the USA International Code Council. For the USA we will apply the amendments to the IBC which may differ from county to county. The IBC is available for adaption and use by jurisdictions internationally. Its use wihtin a governmental jurisdiction is intended to be accomplished through adoption by reference in accordance with proceedings estblishing the jurisdiction's laws.

As such a number of countries have allowed the use of the IBC, whereas drawings and structural calculations will be dealt with as if it were based on its own (often non existent) codes and regulations.

Countries and areas where the IBC codes may apply:  African continent, Arabian continent, Caribbean islands, Mid Americas, Pacific islands and a number of S-E Asian countries.

EUROCODE

For the European countries we will comply with the Eurocode. For France and its territories we will draft the structural report both in the French and English language.

Reviews from Bali Prefab World

On November 7, 2013 typhoon Haiyan, known as typhoon Yolanda in the Philippines, was the second deadliest on record that hit the archipelago killing over 4,000 peoiple which we deeply regret. The system's one-minute sustained winds reached to 315 km/h (196 mph), unofficially making Haiyan the 4th most intense tropical cyclone ever observed and made it the strongest tropical cyclone to make landfall on record. Our engineering department designs our units in cyclone areas to cyclone rating and have added a 10% additional wind force to the general cyclone design codes to cope with global warming, introducing stronger cyclones in the future. Our unit A-2 sustained typhoon Haiyan and survived. This is what the owner wrote us:
"There were minor damages and the roof remained fully in tact. Your clients should know though that this house was properly designed and built with typhoons in mind. Good job Bali Prefab World".
