PROJECT COMPLETED ON THE BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS

BEACH BAR AT THE VALLEY TRUNK BAY ON PRICKLEY PEAR ISLAND

 BVI front elevation

Our company, being a hurricane-rated design expert,  was commissioned by the owner of a beach bar to design an almost identical copy of the unit which was completely blown away during Hurricane Irma in early September 2017 (not designed by us).
We designed the new beach bar fully by the strict local regulations. Yet, the owner demanded us to compromise on a specific essential safety aspect to save money (a very open dangerous fence on the 2nd floor). We did not concur. As a result, the owner canceled the order.

The owner handed our design over to one of our competitors in Bali who gladly accepted his demand to compromise on this important safety aspect. Upon acceptance, they were given the order. Needless to say this new beach bar - without this important safety aspect - is a recipe for an accident to happen where a human life or life's will be at stake.

OUR COMPANY FEELS THE NEED TO ADD A SERIOUS COMMENT TO THIS IMMORAL ACT.

This is how it happens too many times in the wooden prefab house industry in Bali. Despite a few competent and reliable companies, several knock-off companies are not interested in integrity, ethical morals, professional dedication, and in particular in protecting the client from a tragedy most probably to happen. Our company strictly adhered to the codes and regulations and therefore lost a project due to a depraved demand by a client and a company that accepted the order without the safety measures in place. We were punished by complying with the rules and regulations.

Nonetheless, our company will remain fully committed to complying with and adhering to international codes and regulations. Departing from this is not an option for us.

Prefab World Bali

Reviews from Prefab World Bali

On November 7, 2013 typhoon Haiyan, known as typhoon Yolanda in the Philippines, was the second deadliest on record that hit the archipelago killing over 4,000 peoiple which we deeply regret. The system's one-minute sustained winds reached to 315 km/h (196 mph), unofficially making Haiyan the 4th most intense tropical cyclone ever observed and made it the strongest tropical cyclone to make landfall on record. Our engineering department designs our units in cyclone areas to cyclone rating and have added a 10% additional wind force to the general cyclone design codes to cope with global warming, introducing stronger cyclones in the future. Our unit A-2 sustained typhoon Haiyan and survived. This is what the owner wrote us:
"There were minor damages and the roof remained fully in tact. Your clients should know though that this house was properly designed and built with typhoons in mind. Good job Prefabworld Bali International".
